Sara Barrero's career in flamenco

Barcelonian dancer. She began her dance training in Barcelona with renowned professors Ana Márquez, la Tani, La Chana, and Antonio El Toleo. At the age of 16, she started her professional career, working in various flamenco tablaos in Barcelona such as El Carmen, Los Tarantos, and El Cordobes. Top flamenco shows in Barcelona

At the age of 22, she traveled to Japan for the first time, working as the lead dancer at the tablao El Flamenco in Osaka and Tokyo for a year.

From 2003 to 2011, she performed in numerous flamenco festivals both nationally and internationally. She continued her training and work in various tablaos and dance schools across Spain until 2011.

Throughout all these years, she has traveled much of the world, performing in major festivals in Spain and abroad. She has shared the stage with great artists such as Eva La Yerbabuena, Maite Martín, Belén Maya, Fernando Terremoto, Rafael de Carmen, Manuela Carrasco, Tomatito, and Juana Amaya, among others.

She has obtained the 1st Prize Carmen Amaya at the Young Talents Festival in L'Hospitalet.

She has participated in festivals such as: Festival Grec de Barcelona, Arte Flamenco de Catalunya, Festival flamenco de Cornellà, Ciutat Vella, Festival De Cajón, Flamenco pa' tos in Madrid, Festival de la Unión in Murcia, and the Bienal de Sevilla. Internationally, she has performed at the Festival Mont de Marsans, Flamenco Festivals in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Nimes in France, London Flamenco Festival, Tokyo Flamenco Festival, Prague Jazz Festival, and the USA Flamenco Festival, among many others.

In addition, she was part of the Maite Martín and Belén Maya company in the show "Flamenco de Cámara" from 2005 to 2009. She has also worked as a dance instructor in various prestigious dance schools including Escuela Amor de Dios, Escuela Paca García, Escuela Iñaqui Márquez, Escuela José de la Vega, and Barceloneta Danza from 2000 to 2011.
