Susana Casas was born in Seville. She began dancing at the age of eight with José Galván. Later she expanded her knowledge with other great artists such as Matilde Coral or Manolo Marín. From 1998 to 2004, she was part of the Cristina Hoyos Ballet with the shows “Arsa y Toma”, “Al compás del tiempo” and “Tierra Dentro”, among others. In 2003, she got the leading role in the play “Yerma” with the same company, with which she obtained great reviews from the public and specialized press. In her extensive professional career, she has also been part of the cast of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía with which she performed “Viaje al sur” and “Romancero gitano”. In 2009, she premiered the show “Por un sueño” at the Gran Teatro Falla (Cadiz), as dancer and choreographer, reaping great success. The following year, she took this show to the World Expo in Shanghai (China). Among the awards she has received are the Farolillo de Oro (Seville), the first national award Matilde Coral (Barcelona), the award for best flamenco show in the cycle “Larachí Flamenca” with the show “La hora del duende”, the first prize for best free dance (Cádiz) and second place in the Festival de la Unión.
