José Miguel Fernández, artistically known as José Escarpín, was born in Murcia and is the winner of the "WORLD RECORD GUINNESS 2010" for tapping and winner of the "MELÓN DE ORO" festival from "LO FERRO", the only dancer in the world with this award.
He began his studies at the age of 7 at the Amor de Dios school in Madrid, where he had outstanding professionals as teachers such as the great master Juan Ramírez, Carlos Velázquez, Alfonso Losa, José Maya, Nino Reyes, Antonio Canales, Tony "El Pelao" and La Tati, among others.
He has taken his art of dance to various parts of the world such as Miami, Los Angeles, Arizona, Mexico, Texas, New York, Italy, among other places. He has presented his shows in renowned theaters and international auditoriums such as the "Manuel Artime" theater in Miami, César Chávez in San Luis de Arizona, Benidorm Palace, Riojaforum, Press Palace, among others.
In addition, he has participated in the Netflix documentary "The Creation of Malinche" and in the movie "Mexico Flamenco". Currently, he performs at the best tablaos with his own original shows and stage productions.
